Hi, I’m Jeannie Caryn, founder of MUSIC SPEAKS, a grassroots project built around the heart of live music: open mics, songwriter showcases, and community performances that lift voices and create unforgettable moments.

Now, it’s time to take this dream on the road — literally.


WHAT WE ARE DOING:

To fulfill a life-long dream of mine, and also inspired by the legacy and history of the band I am lucky enough to sing with, SONIC JOYRIDE (www.sonicjoyride.band)... I'm converting a 40-foot, flat-front gray school bus into a mobile concert venue and creative studio, complete with a stage, sound system, and room to roll with joy, music, and meaning.

This one-of-a-kind vehicle will:
✍️ Host concerts in parks, neighborhoods, parking lots — wherever people gather
✍️ Offer songwriter showcases and open mics on wheels, called Traffic Jams! Giving a touring experience to emerging artists to provide opportunities to network with other music communities outside Atlanta.
️ ✍️ Create “Dinner Show” experiences (stationary or scenic drives) for small parties, weddings, or private gatherings
✍️ Bring the party to YOU — with live music, lights, and a fully immersive show

And that’s just the beginning!

BRINGING MY FAMILY ALONG FOR THE RIDE:

This journey isn’t just about music — it’s about love, storytelling, and family.

Many of you know I’ve long dreamed of hitting the road with my pets. I still own THE FROG, my 17-foot R-Pod trailer, which I use to film my podcast, PARTY IN THE FROG — a cozy, heartfelt series featuring musicians, songwriters, and music fans sharing their stories and songs.
️ Season TWO is underway, and it’s already lined up some extraordinary guests!

The bus can tow THE FROG, giving me the flexibility to tour comfortably while still creating content, and — most importantly — bring my animal family with me.


MEET THE CREW:

*Hugo – 8-year-old black pug and star of my children's book The Adventures of Hugo the Round Pug
*Hippo & Goose – 2-year-old black pug littermates (aka the chaos twins)
*Wolfus – 8-year-old Aussie with special needs (EPI, diabetes, and blindness). He requires daily medication, specialized food, and a calm, consistent environment — which is why building a safe, climate-controlled space for him on the bus is one of my top priorities.
*Chubby & Ninja – 10-year-old gray cat brothers and loyal companions through all of life’s ups and downs

Having them with me isn’t just for companionship — it opens up a world of creative content, from behind-the-scenes podcast moments and real-time tour stories to future children’s books, pet-centric events, and more.

This bus isn’t just transportation — it’s a mobile family hub, a creative studio, and a lifelong dream made real.


WHY WE ARE RAISING FUNDS:

With your support, we’ll be able to:
--Finalize the purchase and renovations of the bus
️--Equip the bus with sound, lights, and safe seating for performances and guests
--Build a secure, climate-controlled living space for my animals, especially for Wolfus, who has diabetes, EPI, and is blind — he needs specialized care, daily medication, and a stable environment
--Cover insurance, permits, and launch logistics

We have secured the bus with a $1000 deposit thanks to a generous benefactor who has hired BASS & BLADES at that rate for a special party in June. Now we need to raise the rest!! We are selling items we don't need, but will need your support to get this bus on the road!

❓ What is MUSIC SPEAKS?
MUSIC SPEAKS is a mobile music project built around a converted 40-foot school bus that will serve as a stage, creative studio, and rolling community venue. We host songwriter showcases, open mics, dinner shows, and live performances — all with a focus on building connections through music.

❓ What is this GoFundMe campaign funding?
Your donations will help complete the purchase and renovation of the bus, install sound and lighting equipment, create a safe, climate-controlled space for travel with my animals, and cover launch costs like insurance, permits, and initial promotional materials.

❓ How will donations be used?
Funds will be used immediately as they’re received — we aren’t waiting until we hit the full goal. Every dollar helps move this project forward step by step: from mechanical and safety upgrades to building the interior and hitting the road.

❓ Are donations tax-deductible?
No — this campaign is not affiliated with a 501(c)(3) nonprofit just yet, so donations are not tax-deductible. However, 100% of your contribution goes directly toward the MUSIC SPEAKS project and is deeply appreciated.

While MUSIC SPEAKS is not yet a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are actively preparing to file for official nonprofit status. This will allow us to expand our mission, seek grants, and offer tax-deductible donations in future phases. For now, please note that contributions are not tax-deductible, but every dollar goes directly toward launching the MUSIC SPEAKS mobile music bus and sharing the power of live music with communities everywhere.
